You do not have to be the one gambling to reach out. Worried family members and friends can use the same line, text or chat. A late call after a shift is fine, since the service never closes.
My PlayBreak and BetGuard
My PlayBreak is OLG's self-exclusion program. For casinos, you can start it by calling the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098. Emailing Self-Exclusion@olg.ca works too, and so does asking staff on site.
Casino terms run from 3 months to 5 years. Registration includes a photo, which is used with facial recognition cameras at casinos. That part is worth knowing before you sign, so nothing surprises you later.
Online play has its own system. BetGuard, Ontario's centralized self-exclusion from all regulated online gaming sites, launched on May 14, 2026. It is open to people 19 and over, with terms of 6 months to 5 years, through BetGuard.ca.
